PJW  RULES – Girls

  1. The wrestler must reside in one of the following counties; Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon.
  2. For registration purposes, entrants must select the school district in which they reside.
  3. A wrestler may only submit 1 Entry.
  4. Age as of December 31st, 2024.
  5. PJW and PIAA rules apply to all applicants, coaches and spectators.
  6. An 11 and 12-year-old on a Jr. High roster may choose only 1 PJW tournament series (Youth or Jr. High).
  7. Age Division & Weight Class:
    • 8 and Under: 45, 51, 57, 63, 69, 76, 83, 90, 105
    • 9 & 10 YR OLD: 50, 56, 63, 70, 78, 86, 94, 102, 110, 125
    • 11 & 12 YR OLD: 60, 66, 72, 78, 84, 92, 100, 108, 116, 125, 145
    • Junior High: 73,79, 85, 91, 98, 105, 112, 119, 127, 137, 150, 167, 202
    • All wrestlers must pass skin check and weigh-in in legal singlet without any weight allowance
  8. Girls MUST enter the Girls division
  9. No weight changes are permitted after 9:00 pm on Wednesday, February 05, 2025.
    • ALL weight changes must be submitted prior to close of registration and be emailed to info@pjwarea13.com
    • No phone, text or social media messages will be accepted
    • No weight changes will be accepted after close of registration
  10. Wrestlers not making weight at weigh-in will forfeit their entry without refund.
  11. Birth Certificate and proof of residency of wrestler must be provided if challenged.
  12. An advancing wrestler must complete the advancement process prior to leaving the tournament.
  13. Advancing wrestlers will be required to pay a non-refundable $100.00 apparel fee prior to leaving the tournament.
  14. Bout Times:
    1. Youth – All Championship Round Bout times are 1:30-1-1. Overtime is 1-minute sudden death, then 30-second ride out if needed.
    2. JH –  All Championship bout times are 1:30 – 1:30 – 1:30. 
    3. Consolation rounds will be 1-1-1. PIAA Overtime rules will apply for JH
  15. Headgear is required, shoelaces must be secured, PIAA hair rule applies, and a mouth guard is required to cover braces.
  16. Seeding will be by records provided on entry form.
  17. The application must be completed in its entirety.
  18. Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement & Participant Code of Conduct form must be completed and brought along to weigh in.
  19. Failure to comply with any PJW or PIAA rule will result in disciplinary action and/or forfeiture of participation.
  20. Weight classes with 5 or fewer participants will utilize round-robin format. Round Robin Rules and Criteria
